2025 was Initiative Distribution’s first full year of operations, and it was a big one. The team shipped 34,000 orders containing 89,000 units to customers in over 120 countries, all from the warehouse in Upper Tract, West Virginia.
The Numbers
These are the numbers that stand out most from the year:
- 34,000 orders shipped to customers across the globe
- 89,000 units fulfilled - picked, packed, and shipped
- 69,000+ units assembled by hand - built piece by piece by the team
- 120+ countries reached - from Australia to Germany to Japan
- 767 shipments in a single day - the busiest day was December 1st
- December alone: ~10,000 shipments - nearly a third of the annual volume in one month
The second half of the year was especially strong. Volume doubled compared to the first half, and the team kept things moving without letting standards slip.

The Team That Made It Happen
What sets Initiative Distribution apart is not just the building, the equipment, or the volume moving through it. It is the people inside the operation and the way they approach the work.
Products can be picked, packed, and shipped in a lot of warehouses. What makes this place different is the care behind the work - care for clients, care for their customers, and care for getting the details right. That standard comes from the team, and it shows up in every part of the operation.

Adrian Armentrout, Warehouse Manager, carried a huge part of the load this year. The operation was handling tens of thousands of assembly units while keeping daily fulfillment moving, and she kept the floor steady through all of it. She also handled outbound coordination with important customers and vendors, coordinated facility needs, and made sure the operation was ready for whatever clients sent its way.

Dylan Hedrick, Fulfillment Lead, built the systems that helped support that growth. He played a major role in onboarding a large new account and setting up its operation, while also bringing structure to receiving freight from overseas manufacturers, organizing inventory across a wide range of product lines, and shipping to customers around the world.

Tracy Ice was a core contributor across both fulfillment and assembly. She was the kind of steady presence that keeps work moving and helps the rest of the team stay on track when volume picks up.
Along with the rest of the core team and the additional team members who joined this year, they helped Initiative Distribution handle record volume without losing the care the work requires. Work at this scale only holds up when people stay consistent, pay attention to detail, and take pride in getting it right.
What Stands Out
The volume matters, but the bigger story is how the team handled it. More work came through the building, the pace increased, and the standard stayed where it needed to be.
What This Means for Our Community
Running a fulfillment operation in Pendleton County does more than keep a warehouse busy.
This year, Initiative Distribution put over 18,000 packages through the Franklin and Petersburg post offices. Add UPS and FedEx pickups on top of that, and it is real shipping volume moving through a rural part of West Virginia.
The business created jobs - three full-time positions and eight additional team members who supported operations throughout the year. In a county of about 7,000 people, that matters.
And every package that leaves the building has the return address on it: Upper Tract, West Virginia. That name is going out to customers all over the world every day.
Room to Grow

Part of the story this year was not just volume. It was building a better facility to support better work.
Parts of the warehouse were reorganized to create better client workflows, more computer stations were added, barcode scanners were brought in, and pack stations were upgraded to improve accuracy and speed. Those changes make the operation stronger for the team doing the work and for the clients trusting Initiative Distribution to do it well.
That is what makes 2026 exciting. Initiative Distribution is in a stronger position than it was a year ago, and the operation is better built for what comes next. Real work went into this place in 2025, and it shows.
