About Initiative Distribution

Initiative Distribution is a boutique 3PL fulfillment warehouse in Upper Tract, West Virginia. We pick, pack, ship, and assemble products for brands around the world — everything from scientific collectibles to tabletop games. The team is small, the work is hands-on, and what each person does matters.

The Kind of Work

Depending on where you fit and what we need, this could include:

• Picking and packing orders accurately and at a steady pace
• Receiving inventory and helping keep the warehouse organized
• Cleaning, assembly, and light fabrication work that requires care and attention
• Counting, scanning, and recording inventory
• Keeping your work area clean, stocked, and ready

The work is on-site in Upper Tract, WV. It is physical, detail-focused, and repetitive by design — done right, every time.

Basic Requirements

These apply to every role here:

• Able to read and write in English. Instructions, labels, and packing sheets have to be followed exactly.
• Comfortable using a computer to record data. Day-to-day work includes scanners, spreadsheets, and simple software to log and look up information — you don’t need to be an expert, but you do need to be at ease learning and using these tools.
• Reliable and on time. A small team depends on everyone showing up.
• Careful and detail-oriented. Accuracy matters more than speed here.
• Able to stand, lift, and stay active through a full shift.
• A team-first attitude — everyone’s work affects everyone else.
• Comfortable using Slack for scheduling, communication, and reporting. Slack is how our whole team stays in sync; it’s a required part of every role.

No prior warehouse experience is required. Dependability, honesty, and a willingness to learn count for more than a résumé.

Hours & Seasonal Peaks

Hours vary by role and by season, from part-time to full-time. Surge hours are expected during client peak seasons — most heavily during the roughly six-week holiday shipping season, and at other busy periods that come up around our clients’ needs. If you’re looking for something with flexibility around those peaks, tell us in your application.

The application asks which days of the week and which hours work for you, and gives you room to name the hourly pay you’re looking for. Share whatever you can — it helps us match you to the right shifts when a spot opens up.
